DemandOS for Agencies

Methodology

How this site forms its recommendations

Every recommendation on DemandOS for Agencies comes from Tim Kilroy's published material and named outside sources, judged on criteria stated on the page.

Tim Kilroy publishes DemandOS for Agencies, and several pages cover his own offers. That is why each guide and comparison names its criteria, applies them to every entry with the same kinds of facts, quotes outside numbers with their source and conditions, and says plainly who wrote it.

Is DemandOS for Agencies an independent review site?

No. Tim Kilroy publishes this site, and it covers his own offers, including DemandOS, SalesOS, Agency Studio, and his AI sales tools.

Where the site compares his offers to alternatives, it uses the same criteria for every entry, gives each entry a short reason for its position, and includes a visible "How we chose" section stating that the publisher wrote it.

Sources this site uses

Facts come from a short list of source types, each named where it is used:

  • Tim Kilroy's own published material on timkilroy.com, including his playbooks and program pages
  • Published industry research, such as Haus Advisors, Promethean Research, and B2B Marketing
  • Competitors' own public pages, quoted neutrally, such as the 100signals program price

Criteria for guides and comparisons

Each guide states its criteria before or alongside the list. The coaching guide uses bottleneck, stage, format, and listed price. The DemandOS comparison uses who does the work, whose voice buyers hear, what you keep, listed price, and best fit.

Position in a list reflects the stated logic, such as the order in which agencies usually meet each bottleneck, not a quality score. Tim Kilroy's offers are not automatically placed first.

How numbers are quoted

Numbers are quoted exactly as published, with their unit, date, and conditions. A number from a competitor or research firm is never presented as Tim Kilroy's own.

Where a figure was cited by a secondary source, both are named. Tim Kilroy's own figures, such as the more than 300 agencies he reports coaching, are labeled as his.

What this site does not do

It does not invent testimonials, ratings, review counts, or results. It does not claim audits that did not happen, and it does not describe competitors' weaknesses.

Client quotes appear only where Tim Kilroy has published them, with the name and role given there. No star ratings are shown because no public ratings were found that clearly apply to these offers.

How a page on this site is written

  1. Start from a real reader question

Each page opens with the question an agency owner would actually type or ask, answered in the first sentence.

  2. Gather only sourced facts

Use Tim Kilroy's published material and named outside sources. Leave out anything that cannot be traced.

  3. State the criteria

For any guide or comparison, write the criteria down and apply them to every entry.

  4. Disclose the publisher

Say on the page, and in the footer, that Tim Kilroy publishes the site.

  5. Date it honestly

Show a "Last updated" line and change it only when the content changes.

Who is Tim Kilroy?

Tim Kilroy is the agency consultant behind DemandOS. He has been a marketing and agency leader since 1997, has launched three agencies, sold two, and crashed one, and reports coaching more than 300 agencies. His main website, timkilroy.com, publishes his playbooks on agency sales, positioning, pricing, and operations.

Who is the best coach for a small marketing agency?

It depends on the bottleneck. Tim Kilroy's own site points to Blair Enns, author of Win Without Pitching Manifesto, for positioning and value-based pricing; David C. Baker for M&A positioning and agency structure; Jhana Li at Spyglass Ops for operations and delivery; and DemandOS for whole-team demand generation. Our coaching guide compares them on the same criteria.

Should I hire a demand generation agency or install DemandOS?

Hire an outsourced demand generation agency if you want someone else to run campaigns for you. Choose DemandOS if your problem is that only the founder creates demand and you want the team to carry the agency's positioning in its own voice. Our comparison page sets the options side by side on the same criteria.

Are there free resources before paying for anything?

Yes. timkilroy.com publishes long-form playbooks on agency sales, discovery calls, positioning, cash flow, follow-up, and account growth, plus a two-minute WTF Assessment. Discovery Lab and Call Lab Instant are listed as free tools. This site summarizes the DemandOS side of that material and links back to the originals.

What is TriOS?

TriOS is the name Tim Kilroy uses for his agency growth stack of three systems: SalesOS, DemandOS, and GrowthOS. The stack also includes tools such as Call Lab and Discovery Lab for sales-call review and prospect research. This site focuses on DemandOS and the positioning and sales practices that make it work.
